Third Grade Bibles

Every fall, the 3rd graders are presented with Bibles engraved with their names. This is a long-standing tradition in United Methodist Churches, as we empower children to read the Scriptures for themselves. These children are asked to bring their Bibles to Sunday School each week where they learn the books of the Bible and the stories of their faith. Anyone who starts attending after the Bible presentation Sunday or is older than 3rd grade but has not received a Bible previously just needs to ask to receive a Bible of their own. Third graders receive the New Revised Standard Version Children’s Bible.
