Blood Drives

Blood Drive at St. Paul's

St. Paul's UMC hosts a blood drive each year in the late summer/early fall. Saving up to three lives is easy, and involves less than an hour of your time. Anyone in reasonably good health age 17 and over (age 16 with parental consent) who weighs over 110 pounds can donate blood. There aren’t many medicines or conditions that will prevent you from giving of yourself to one in need. In order to donate, eat well and drink plenty of fluids before your donation time, bring a photo ID, and relax.

Because anyone at age 16 can donate with parental consent, blood donation is a wonderful way for parents and older youth to come as a family to donate blood.
Youth age 17 and up can come without their parents. Bring your friends and save a whole crowd of lives. Blood donations are needed by people with cancer, GI disease, heart disease, giving birth, with accidents and injuries, and with many other conditions.

Donating blood is more than an act of service – it’s truly giving of ourselves to help those in need.
