To know and follow Christ, and to help others know and follow Christ

Family Fellowship Class

Family Fellowship Sunday School Class

For over 60 years the Family Fellowship Class has been meeting every Sunday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Started by a handful of Church members with small children in February 1946, it has continued to be a viable, healthy class that still enjoys both family, and extended family down to the great-grandchildren. Early in the 1950’s the Family Fellowship Class took on the project of building the cottage at Clear Lake.  That was also family project with whole families being involved with the construction, painting and landscaping.

The class meets regularly in Room 315 at 10:20 am. The membership includes married couples, widows and widowers many of who have been members from the inception of the class. Originally dedicated to the family and to the fellowship of the class, the class now enjoys the family fellowship of the members of the class, as our families have grown and many have moved away. Because many of the members live at either Cottage Grove Place or the Methwick Manor complex, twice a year the class travels to Methwick to hold class and a luncheon. Each Thanksgiving we hold a dinner at Cottage Grove Place. Total membership is nearly 40 with an average attendance of 18. A typical Sunday includes hymn singing and a member presented devotional along with a bible study or religious study with a wide variety of topics. Recent studies include a series on prayer.  Come join us any Sunday, there is always an open chair.
