St. Paul's Church Mission is "To Know Christ and To Help Others To Know Christ." The congregation is passionately committed to fulfilling that mission locally and around the world.

Locally, some of the missions we support financially and through volunteers include

  • The Ecumenical Center (transitional housing and other programs)
  • Neighborhood Meals and Enrichment (summer meals program)
  • SPRINT (neighborhood youth activity program)
  • Metro Area Housing Project (MAHP - refurbishing homes for lower to middle income families)
  • Habitat for Humanity (new and refurbished housing)
  • Linn Community Food Bank
  • Wellington Heights Neighborhood Association Clean Up Day
  • Mound View Neighborhood Association Clean Up Day
  • LEAF (Local Emergency Assistance Fund)
  • Helping Hands
  • Linn County Jail Ministry
  • and many more!

Globally, St. Paul's reaches out in mission throughout the state of Iowa, around the nation and around the world.

Short Term Volunteer in Mission teams of adults in recent years have gone personally to Honduras, Zimbabwe, Russia, Haiti, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. National youth mission trips are sponsored every other year.

In addition, through the congregation as a whole and various church groups provide over $350,000 of mission support annually.
