is seeking a principal, part-time organist.
A bachelor’s degree in music is required.
Previous church experience is highly recommended.
The duties include all service music for two Sunday services, currently
scheduled at 9:00 a.m. (in the sanctuary) and 10:30 a.m. (in the chapel).
In addition, there are the usual church holidays and several
choral/orchestral Sundays. A choral
accompanist is also on staff, so only on rare occasions would the organist be
asked to accompany the choir.
The sanctuary organ is a 1974 Robert Sipe pipe organ.
It has three manuals with electric, pneumatic action and a full pedal
board; a new console was added in 1997. The
chapel organ was installed in August of 2006 and is an Allen "Protege."
Likewise, it has three manuals and a full pedal board.
