Fair Luncheon 2007
Grandma's Ham
Balls
1 lb ground ham
1 1/2lb ground beef
2 d. dry bread crumbs
2 beaten eggs
1 c.milk Sauce:
1 1/2c. brown sugar
1/3 c. white vinegar
2/3 c. water
1 tsp. dry mustard Form
into 2 inch balls. Place in baking dish and pour sauce over all. Bade in
350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
Pumpkin
Chiffon Pie
1 envelop gelatin
3 eggs, separated
1/2c. brown sugar
1/2c. milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Ginger
1/2c. sugar
1 - 9oz. pie crust, baked and cooled Cook
gelatin, egg yolks, brown sugar, pumpkin, milk, and spices over medium
heat to dissolve gelatin. Heat to boiling, stirring
occasionally. Chill in cold water bath until mixture mounds slightly
when dropped from spoon. Make meringue by beating the three egg
whites, slowly adding the sugar, until stiff peaks form. Fold
meringue into cooled pumpkin mixture and pour into the cooled pie
crust. Chill 2 hours until set. *Served at St. Paul's
