EDUCATING & EQUIPPING
One of the primary aims of this church is to nurture among children, youth and adults a vibrant, life-changing faith, the kind of faith that shapes one's way of being, thinking and acting. The Educating and Equipping Committee coordinates, plans, and implements programs and events to provide Christian Education and spiritual formation for all members at St. Paul's.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
Advent Workshop is a once a year event. It takes place sometime during the week before the start of Advent. The event encourages fellowship and educational opportunities about our Christmas traditions. This team of people will need to be a diverse group.
Children's Worship is a six week class that will teach our kindergarten, first and second grade children about how we worship as a church. The leaders of this once a year class will work as a part of an eight member team. This team will consist of persons who value children in worship, have a desire to help children understand the importance of corporate worship, and help the children learn how they can be active partivipants in worship. Training and planning sessions plus excellent curriculum will provide the tools needed for leaders.
Christmas Program Dec. 15. Do you have memories of Christmas pageants in your youth? This is your chance to participate again. Planning and rehearsing take place this Fall with the performance on Saturday night.
Easter Egg Hunt...On Palm Sunday hundreds of filled eggs are hidden in classrooms. We need planners and hiders.
Fall Festival is a Christian celebration of harvest and seasonal joys St. Paul's is sponsoring instead of the secular and pagan rituals. Help to plan and carry out this joyous occasion.
Nursery assists childcare staff in providing a quality loving and nurturing environment for children. Persons who love to interact and care for children and persons who have an eye for detail that can assist in providing a clean environment. The adult childcare providers will receive training from the childcare coordinator and be expected to pass a safety check and approval of coordinator.
Palm Parade is a one day commitment. You will assist the teachers in directing the children from their Sunday school classes to the sanctuary and back. The children will be participating in the Palm Parade in the 9:25 and 10:55 a.m. worship services.
Rally Day is a once a year event. It occurs the Sunday after Labor Day and is a promotion event for our children and the start of our Fall programming. It is a short term commitment with flexible meeting times.
Summer Sunday School will work with a team to help plan and implement summer Sunday School. The summer session of Sunday school begins on the first Sunday of June and continues through the first Sunday in September (14 weeks). This summer's theme is "People and Places". We will focus on interesting places people here at St. Paul's have traveled to. We need helpers and presenters during June, July and August.
Vacation Bible School is both for St. Pau's children and an outreach to the neighborhood.
Workshop Rotation Model is our exciting new Sunday School concept. Each rotatin lasts six weeks and we can use your special skills in the following areas: computer, cooking, crafting, story-telling, teaching, and drama. We also need shepherds who stay with the same children for a full semester (Sept.-Dec.) (Jan. - Mar) (Apr.-May).
