REACHING AND RECEIVING
The Reaching and Receiving Committee will provide for the planning, facilitating and implementing of those ministries that reach out and receive prospective and new members into the Body of Christ at St. Paul's.
Communication communicates St. Paul's presence and mission to the community. Knowledge/experience with media (TV, radio, direct mail) good communication skills, photography or graphic skills would be helpful.
Fellowship Friends match new member individuals/families with ongoing small groups for nurture, encouragement and support as new members assimilate to life and ministry at St. Paul's
New Member Hospitality Team is responsible for providing hospitality (refreshments, greeting, photos, etc.) for our new members during new member orientation and their joining weekend.
New Member Integration Team is responsible for the tracking and hands on encouragement of our new members for the first year after they join.
Open Door Ministry ensures that all new visitors to St. Paul's are visited, made to feel welcome and invited to return. Team members check attendance cards after service to note "first time visitors". Other call upon those visitors on the same Sunday they attend church and provide information and answer questions about the church and the programs offered.
Outlook mails the bi-weekly newsletter to all members and visitors. Address labels are placed on newsletters.
Outlook Journalism...There is a need for writers and reporters to share news with the congregation about all that is going on in our church life.
Parking Lot Greeters provide assistance with parking spots and traffic flow on "high attendance" events such as Christmas Eve, special music Sunday, Easter, etc.
Returning Worship Visitor Ministry Team is responsible for the tracking and continued contact of our returning worship guests.
Worship Greeters greet people at each of our worship services. They may also help out at special events and services. Only a friendly smile is needed.
Web Site...St. Paul's web site is launched and growing! Individuals are needed to design and lend technical support to keep our site updated and exciting.
Welcome Center greeters welcome visitors to church on Sunday mornings, help people find classrooms and answer questions.
