UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
"United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God, and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand the concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church." This group has scheduled spiritual retreats, mission events and serves funeral lunches.
UMW Circles of which there are eight, meet nine months out of the year and carry out activities that support their growth to know God, be in fellowship and expand global ministries.
Holiday Fair is an ongoing project to help members and friends of St. Paul's participate and enjoy working in various areas to earn money for UMW Missions. This event is held each year in November. Departments include baked goods, soups, crafts, children's area, Wednesday night dinner and Thursday luncheon and style show.
Boutique make handcrafted items for sale at Holiday Fair. Anyone with hands to work and a heart to share would find this a rewarding activity. Workshops are held each week but people are needed to do wood and sewn projects at home or make a donation for supplies that are needed.
Thrift Mart is a sale of used items to raise money for the mission budget of United Methodist Women. It is held annually in April and September. Workers are needed all year for worting items. Just bring a smile!
Receptions serve receptions at church, usually for weddings, anniversary and birthday open houses, etc.
