YOUTH MINISTRIES
Adult Youth Workers have a chance for adults to interact and help both the middle school and high school students. Your will be trained and then deployed into action where you feel the most passion.
Confirmation is a nine month program that prepares youth for full membership in the United Methodist Church. It emphasizes faith development, exposure to church history, structure and theology. It calls youth to a commitment to Jesus Christ. This class runs from the spring of 8th grade to the fall of 9th grade. Fall of 2001 is fully staffed, but we will need a full complement of helpers starting next February/March.
Middle School Youth Group are students sixth through eighth grade who meet for youth fellowship. This includes a variety of activities such as recreational activities, discussion groups and Bible study, all of which invite youth to a deeper relationship to other youth, the church and God.
High School Youth Group are students ninth through twelfth grade who meet for youth fellowship. this includes a variety of activities such as recreational activities, discussion groups and Bible study, all of which invite youth to a deeper relationship to other youth, the church and God.
Small Group Leaders/Mentors are those special adults who can relate to middle and high schoolers in an intimate setting. You must have the heart for sharing biblical teaching and leading young adults through the difficulties of living out their faith in everyday situations.
Youth Council is the visioning and overseeing group for all youth activities and events.
Youth Group Food will offer the gift of hospitality and willingness to feed hungry mouths. Sunday evening both middle and high school students are fed together.
Youth Worship assistance is needed to help operate sound and video equipment and help as crowd control. Adults are needed for these supervisory positions. This is a time of reaching out with contemporary Christian music.
