Ministry of ServingMinistry of Serving at St. Paul's UMCFruitfulness and effectiveness in ministry comes when the effort is focused on true needs. Small teams can tackle big opportunities if the needs have been well delineated. Being fruitful also means stepping aside or becoming involved in a different mission so others who are interested in a particular mission have the opportunity to serve. Being fruitful means making mission opportunities so interesting and exciting that others will want to be involved and know that they can be involved through hand on activities, gifts, and/or prayers. Being fruitful sometimes means giving up a traditional activity or using it in a different way in order to be Christ’s hands and heart to the world.
St. Paul's offers many ways to serve our neighbor, whether in St. Paul's, in the neighborhood, in the city, or in the world. Throughout the church year, there are many ways we can serve with our time, our talents, and our treasures. Congregational Survey of Hands-On Ministries. (Please print out, fill out, and return to the church office on or before September 7.)
St. Paul's is a Rainbow Covenant church because of congregation and foundation mission funding. Each color of the rainbow represents a different aspect of mission –
