WHAT IS THRIFT MART?

Thrift Mart at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church provides an opportunity for people to buy quality merchandise at bargain prices.  For instance, some jeans are just a dollar.  Many children’s clothes are 25 or 50 cents.  There are linens, electrical items, dishes and other kitchen equipment as well as sewing supplies, knick knacks and treasures (collectibles).

Whether you are a veteran garage sale person or a person that needs to supplement your family income by getting wonderful bargains, we know that you will find our sale helpful and fun.

Good food is available at reasonable prices at the Koffee Kup.

On the second day of the sale at 11:00 am the bag sale begins. We sell a garbage bag for $1.00 and customers fill them to the brim.  (Free bags are available for those who cannot afford the dollar.)  Our church is very aware of the needs of our community in these difficult days.  This is one way to help out.  Our profits go to meet our mission pledge for United Methodist Women and to support our local church and community projects.

TAX  DEDUCTION

If you donate items to St. Paul's Thrift Mart and plan to take a tax deduction, you will need to submit an itemized list of your donations to the church office or church@stpaulsumc.org .  Be sure to include your name, complete address and the date items were donated.

A copy of your list will be returned to you along with an attached letter verifying that the items were donated.  The letter also states that the value placed on the donated items was determined solely by you as donor.
