The Two by Two's Class is made up
of couples who range in age from their upper twenties through their
thirties. Some couples do not have children and others have children that range
in age from infant to eleven years old.
Group members come from a variety of careers and backgrounds. Some of the women work full or part-time and others are stay-at-home mothers. Some members do not come from a church background while others have grown up at St. Paul's. Still others come from various other religious backgrounds. The group is a good mix of different points of view and ideas. New people are always welcome.
The group meets Sundays at 10:20 a.m. (Child care is provided.) The group has done a variety of studies. Past topics include studies on relationships, the spiritual disciplines, personality types, the book of James, and more. Discussions always include Bible passages and how the topic relates to Christianity and everyday life. Through these discussions members help each other grow in their faith and fellowship.
The group also tries to have a social activity once each month. Past activities have included going out to dinner, having dinner at someone's house, attending church social and community events, and more. The women in the group have regular "lunch dates" together and have occasionally organized special evenings out, often to a movie. The men have golfed together. Families can also participate in potluck groups. Each potluck group contains four or five families who meet to have a meal and fellowship together. The group has also spent time together each summer at the church's cabin in Clear Lake.
