To know and follow Christ, and to help others know and follow Christ

Faith Builders

Faith Builders Sunday School Class

Faith Builders will pick up on the Ray VanderLaan series "Life and Ministry of the Messiah" for the next month, and then do an Advent study in December.

The Faith Builders Sunday School class started nearly 14 years ago and has grown to 30 members. The class meets in room 303 at 10:20 on Sunday. The average attendance is 16. Nancy Anton-Jensen is the facilitator.  Past studies include the beatitudes and each of the Lenten studies are done class-wide. The studies rotate between Bible studies and family related studies and how scripture applies to everyday family life.

The members are couples between the ages of 30 and 50. Most of the member’s children are of pre-school through middle-school age. The class is strong in supporting each other in faith and friendship through life’s experiences. There is a strong quest for growing in their faith. Not only are there good discussions but the class has fun in sharing their faith and experiences.  They share joys and concerns each week and then communicate that information through an email list of class members. The class is diverse in their worship attendance as some members attend the 9 am Sunday service and some attend the 11:30 worship service. Each year the class spends time at the Clear Lake cabin in the summer. They have a variety of social gatherings which have included a summer party, New Year’s Eve party, pot lucks, ladies’ night, and a card group.

Faith Builders meets all year each Sunday, and everyone is welcome to join them on any Sunday in room 303. Facilitator: Nancy Anton-Jensen
