Peace Camp will provide a space for completed K-5th grade students to explore their own identities and the identities of other students. In addition, we aim to work with students to understand race, racism, and how together we can recognize and challenge racist practices. Using literacy-based strategies and hands-on activities, kids will be engaged in a number of learning experiences related to promoting anti-racism. Curriculum adapted from WE ARE in North Carolina. Peace Camp, held August 14-17, 9:15 am-1:00 pm hosted at St. Paul's UMC, Cedar Rapids. View Peace Camp Flyer.
